Position Overview
- Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standard assessments and observational strategies.
- Craft tailored treatment strategies aimed at meeting both short-term objectives and long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on communication enhancement, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
- Work synergistically with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to devise unified care plans.
- Provide education for patients and their families to encourage support for progress beyond the therapy room.
- Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure seamless ongoing care throughout treatment.
- Maintain up-to-date, precise documentation that adheres to applicable state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Stay well-informed on the latest developments in the field through continuous education and peer engagement.
Educational Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), unless already certified by ASHA.
Required Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory within 30 days of hire.
