GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct speech and language evaluations of students referred by parents, Principals, or the Director of Student Services and provide results and reports in a timely fashion. Meet with parents of referred students to review speech and language evaluations. Conduct other assessments and screenings as needed including Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Be a resource for district employees for information relating to a student's diagnosis or disability and offer suggestions on ways to better facilitate learning for students. Attend CSE, CPSE, and 504 committee meetings, as needed. Provide individual and/or small group therapy sessions to students. Make referrals to local and regional agencies, as needed. Maintain confidentiality and complete Medicaid paperwork for reimbursement. Establish and maintain cooperative, positive relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Carry out other duties as required by the Director of Special Education and the Principal. Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, district policy and administrative regulations. Maintain accurate, complete, & correct records as required by law, district policy & administrative regulation. Reports to the Director of Student Services and the Principal. Performs related duties as required or assigned by administration.
