Description

• Assess patients across the lifespan, utilizing standardized evaluations as well as observational methods to inform treatment.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that encompass both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions that focus on communication, language development, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop unified care strategies.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, fostering a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Continuously enhance your knowledge base by staying updated with advances in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
