Description

• Assess patients from pediatric through geriatric demographics employing both structured assessments and observational methodologies.
• Create tailored therapy plans addressing immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to develop unified care protocols.
• Educate patients and their families to support therapeutic progress beyond clinical settings.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions of speech therapy, ensuring a seamless treatment journey.
• Maintain diligent and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer networking.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
