Description
- Assess patients from pediatric through geriatric demographics employing both structured assessments and observational methodologies.
- Create tailored therapy plans addressing immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
- Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to develop unified care protocols.
- Educate patients and their families to support therapeutic progress beyond clinical settings.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions of speech therapy, ensuring a seamless treatment journey.
- Maintain diligent and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer networking.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
