Description

• Assess patients from a wide range of age groups using both standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans tailored to individual short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions focused on communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing aspects.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop seamless care strategies.
• Educate patients and families to bolster progress outside the clinic.
• Perform occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure a consistent healthcare experience.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately and promptly, adhering to required guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaborate with peers to stay ahead in the field.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
