Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Summary

Performs a variety of advanced / complex duties to support administration of a large department or of multiple departments.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of relevant experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred.
  • Requires intermediate computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
  • Composes, types and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications as required.
  • Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls and handles general inquiries. Uses independent judgment to determine priority and sensitivity of inquiries and responses.
  • Schedules / coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements. Maintains assigned calendar(s).
  • Establishes and maintains filing systems. Orders and stocks supplies.
  • Assists with special projects and interdepartmental needs when appropriate.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Requires demonstrated proficiency in multi-tasking, flexibility, time management, organization, attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Must be able to work equally well independently and in a team environment.
