Job Summary
The ESH Occupational Therapist performs evaluations, treats patients through 1:1 sessions and group therapy, completes chart reviews prior to patient care, documents the medical records, interacts with other professionals, and discusses PRP. Educates patients and caregivers regarding care and relevant information, and provides weekend coverage if needed. Assists managerial staff in assessing resources and processes to redistribute or enhance resources, and assists with projects or activities for the enhancement of services. Bills appropriately, meets departmental productivity standards; turns charge sheet in on time, and is judicious in using the hospital's resources.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Completion of a Master's degree and have OT Licensure or be eligible, plus a professional license in the state of Kentucky. Experience is preferred but not required. The employee shall become familiar with HIPAA regulations and do their utmost to protect all protected health information (PHI) and other personal or sensitive information within their trust in the course of state business by applying appropriate safeguards and sharing only the information required to deliver agency services. Any personal or sensitive information overheard or seen by the employee will be kept confidential by not sharing it with others, on or off the work-site grounds. Fully participate in all activities regarding the elimination of the use of seclusion and restraints in patient care including educational requirements, competency development activities, and meeting established performance goals and measures. Must have computer competency in approved systems. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must have a valid driver's license.
