SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Surveillance, the Surveillance Officer observes activity in the Casino, Bingo Hall and all other areas of the Casino covered by the surveillance system and submits written reports on improper actions to the Surveillance Shift Lead. Other job-related duties as assigned. This is a terminal position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate the computer type console to observe Cocopah premises.
- Submits written reports on unusual or illegal activities.
- Ensure proper recording of video.
- Perform hand-held radio communications.
- Interact with law enforcement officials.
- Assist with clean-up activities.
- Assist with answering in-coming phone calls.
- Review video for investigations as required.
- Report malfunctioning equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess the ability to keep information confidential.
- Thorough understanding of the Compact between the Cocopah Indian Tribe and the State of Arizona.
- Thorough understanding of internal controls and procedures.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
- Report writing skills required.
- Must be computer literate
- Must possess the ability to memorize all machine numbers and camera positions.
- Must be certifiable through the Arizona Department of Gaming/Tribal Gaming Office.
- Must be 21 years of age
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree in related field or trade school, professional or technical certification, specialized training Previous law enforcement, security, surveillance or money handling experience preferred.
- 1-year equivalent to at least TS-2, 6-months specialized work experience, 2-years work experience in related field or 2-years general or supervisory work experience
- Testing may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
In the Entertainment industry one may be subject to a work environment containing excessive noise, smoke and stress.
