Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A contract position is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in a K-12 school setting. This role offers the opportunity to apply specialized skills in occupational therapy to help children overcome challenges and succeed in their academic environment. The assignment is located in Riverside, CA, and runs for the current school year (CSY). Qualifications and Experience: Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in good standing Experience working in a school environment supporting K-12 students preferred Familiarity with developing and implementing individualized therapy plans Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and students Ability to maintain accurate documentation and progress reports Location: Riverside, California Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy services tailored to student needs within the school setting Assist in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) alongside the educational team Facilitate therapy sessions aimed at improving students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills Monitor student progress and adapt therapy interventions as necessary Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities Benefits: Opportunity to impact student development positively in a school environment Experience working with diverse populations of students Gain valuable exposure in educational occupational therapy practice Qualified candidates interested in contributing to student growth through occupational therapy are encouraged to apply for this contract opportunity located in Riverside, CA.
