Job Type: Full-time Pay Range: $31 - $38 per hour Job Location: Van Nuys Ca.

We are looking for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our inpatient hospital team in Van Nuys CA. At this 350 bed hospital, we offer a full range of rehabilitaion servives to enable recovery from treatments or surgical procedures through patient education and individualized therapy plans. You will execute physical rehabilitative programs to impove patient quality of life.

Youll achieve success by:

• Reviewing patients medical history

• Provide excellent 1:1 care for your patients, spending an average of 40 minutes with each person

• Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns

• Developing individualized treatment plans for patientswith clear goals and expected outcomes

• Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on manual therapy to manage patients pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury

• Recording patient progress and modifying the plan of care as needed

Qualifications:

• Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure in good standing in insert state

• CPR and first aid certification required

Essential Functions of the Physical Therapist Assistant Role:

• Assist in evaluation of clients daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations
• Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques including exercise Instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and Isokinetic program
• Observe patients during treatments and reports observations to Physical Therapist
• Communicate with staff and other health team members, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs

Experience and Skills Required for Physical Therapist Assistant Position:

• Associates Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
• Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice required.
