Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $32.06/hour . Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

At St Joseph Medical Center, our multidisciplinary team of clinicians is focused on providing high quality care to their physical, occupational, and speech therapy patients in the acute care and outpatient settings. Our team approach to adult and pediatric therapy creates an environment that promotes engagement and collaboration. Clinicians are involved in performance improvement initiatives and have ample opportunities for continuing education hours through our Center of Expertise.
OSF will invest in you on day 1! Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use beginning day 1 . This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, under the general supervision of an Occupational Therapist, assists in administering the Occupational Therapists' treatment plan.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
Licensure/Certifications:
- State license as Certified Occupation Therapist Assistant and NBCOT registration
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire
Other skills/knowledge:
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information
- Analytical ability to identify and report changes in patient’s condition to an Occupational Therapist
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid state driver’s license
