Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for a wide range of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans addressing both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to form an all-inclusive approach to care.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring continuous care throughout the treatment process.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and collaborative peer engagement.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
