Job Duties

• Assess patients in pediatric, adult, and senior demographics using a mix of standardized testing and observational insights.
• Craft customized therapy plans aimed at achieving specific communication and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that enhance language development, fluency, and vocal quality.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and their families, facilitating progress and understanding beyond clinical visits.
• Participate in inpatient therapy as needed, contributing to a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely patient documentation in accordance with applicable guidelines.
• Commit to ongoing learning and professional growth through continuing education and peer opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if the ASHA certification hasnt been obtained yet.

Licensure and Certification

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Iowa.
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training must be completed within 30 days of starting employment.
