Description

  • Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized tools and observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients communication and swallowing goals.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy for language, fluency, voice disorders, and swallowing difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress and strategies beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to maintain a seamless treatment process.
  • Keep precise and timely records in compliance with local, state, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state license as a Speech Language Therapist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within first 30 days of employment.
