Category Therapy - Hospital - SLPA Job Type Contract A Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) is needed for a full-time, contract position during the 2025-2026 school year, based in King George, VA. This role is essential in supporting students from PreK through 12th grade by providing tailored speech-language intervention services under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Key Responsibilities: Implement intervention plans designed by the supervising SLP to improve students' speech skills. Administer, assist with, and score assessments for evaluation and progress monitoring. Document and prepare reports such as evaluations, IEPs, and progress notes. Collaborate with therapists, teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student goals. Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions. Transport students to/from testing or therapy locations as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech, Language and Hearing, Communication Disorders, or a related field. Previous experience as a paraprofessional or within a school environment preferred. Training or experience in language and articulation therapy is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, including active listening and effective two-way communication. Ability to maintain a positive, collaborative, and professional attitude. Willingness to learn and apply new therapeutic strategies and techniques.
