Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a full academic year contract position serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This opportunity is based in Silver Spring, MD, supporting a K-12 educational setting. The ideal candidate will provide direct speech and language therapy to students with communication disorders, working collaboratively with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). This role requires expertise in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders within a school environment. Key Qualifications: Valid State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Experience working with K-12 students in school settings Strong knowledge of speech and language evaluation and intervention techniques Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational skills Primary Responsibilities: Conduct speech and language screenings, assessments, and evaluations Design and deliver tailored therapy sessions to meet student goals Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with educational regulations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and modification Provide guidance and training to teachers and parents regarding communication strategies Location: Silver Spring, MD
