Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our healthcare team in St. Helens. In this role, you will support licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining a smooth-running therapy environment.
Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises
Transport patients to and from treatment areas safely
Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization
Sanitize and set up therapy equipment before and after patient use
Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records
Handle basic administrative tasks including answering phones and filing
Monitor and maintain inventory of therapy supplies
Assist with patient documentation in electronic health records
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Current CPR and First Aid certifications
Basic understanding of physical therapy procedures and medical terminology
Proficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
Experience with electronic health records systems preferred
Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Physical ability to assist patients and handle therapy equipment
Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 hourly
