Provides effective instruction in assigned graduate courses on a part-time, temporary basis; Responsible for fulfilling and sustaining the duties and functions specified by established appointment and promotion criteria, including teaching and service to the school and community.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Mission Alignment
- Actively engages in the Catholic and Franciscan mission and identity of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University by modeling the Franciscan Values, promoting justice from the communities we serve, and integrating the Catholic and Franciscan intellectual traditions in courses, programs, and services
Academic
- Prepares instruction that reflects stated course student learning outcomes
- Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course
- Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour; instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner.
- Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance, post grades in a timely manner.
Teaching
- Implements curricular and instructional interventions
- Develop student learning outcomes
- Applies what has been learned from formative and summative feedback on instruction
- Utilizes Peer Review and Coaching
Advising
- Reflects on summative students' evaluation of Academic Advising Experience
- Assesses reports and perceptions of peers and others regarding fidelity to academic advising roles and responsibilities
Professional Development
- Engages in professional development activities to promote development in the scholarship of teaching and learning
Contribution to role related knowledge base
- Presents at local, state, national and international professional conferences
- Demonstrates publication of works identifying type (i.e., peer review), audience (i.e., journal and journal distribution), and focus (discovery, application and/or integrated knowledge focus)
- Demonstrates citations of won work(s) in others' works
- Solicits and participates in funded research (identifying specific role, funding source, and status of project)
Student Engagement
- Advises students through feedback, coaching, remediation, and engagement
- Adheres to professional standards of conduct and corrective action policies noted in the College Employee and Student Services Handbooks
Professional Service
- Participate in local, state, national, or international professional agencies
Institutional Service
- Participates in committee work at the program, school, or institutional level (delineate roles and nature of participation)

EDUCATION
- Earned Doctoral Degree; Ideal candidate will have a degree in Physical Therapy with an academic Doctorate and/or as a Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist
LICENSURE
- Current Physical Therapy license or eligible for license in Louisiana
