Job Responsibilities
- Tailored Home-Based Care: Provide personalized occupational therapy treatments in patients' homes, focusing on overcoming functional losses due to disease or injury, all under the expert plan of care devised by our Occupational Therapists.
- Collaborative Communication: Serve as the vital link between patients and Occupational Therapists. Share progress, address concerns, and suggest plan adjustments to ensure the most effective care possible.
- Empowerment through Education: Equip patients and their caregivers with the knowledge and skills for home exercises and safety. Your teaching will empower them to embrace their treatment plan actively.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Work hand in hand with nursing staff, home health aides, and other therapists to deliver a holistic care approach that addresses all aspects of patient well-being.
- Documentation and Compliance: Meticulously document treatments and services, ensuring clear communication with healthcare professionals and adherence to Medicare guidelines and agency protocols.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an AOTA approved COTA program.
- Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- CPR certified (adult only).
- Possess a Virginia Driver's license, proof of automobile insurance and readily available, reliable transportation.
