Physical Therapist - Inpatient Tyler

Provides physical therapyservices. Evaluates patients, sets goals, plans programs and treatspatients according to the physician's orders; maintains requiredrecords and notes; assists with directing technicians and supportpersonnel; assumes responsibility for physical therapy charges;participates in educational programs, follows all departmentalpolicy and procedures. Responsibilities: - Maintains consistencywith Administrative and Departmental policies with appropriatebehavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality,professionalism, and reliability. - Performs professional dutiesrelated to patient care in order to restore the patient to his/hermaximum level of independence and functions according to acceptedstandards of ethical conduct for the physical therapist. - Clinicalcompetencies in physical therapy skills and techniques aredemonstrated in a manner that promotes quality patient care. -Participates in established inter-departmental andintra-departmental communication systems and methods to achievedepartmental, hospital and corporate goals. - Maintains requiredrecords/documentations as specified in department policy andprocedures manual. - Participates in maintaining/improving theeffectiveness of the services provided by the physical therapydepartment. - Assumes responsibility for therapeutic equipmentsafety, operation and maintenance. Requirements: - Basic ComputerKnowledge - Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally andwritten. - New graduate entry level or any amount of experience inphysical therapy is acceptable. - Maintain current registrationlicense in Texas and provide the hospital with a copy. - MaintainBCLS certification.
