Description

  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that enhance language, fluency, voice, and overall communication skills.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprised of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to formulate comprehensive care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families on how to support their progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally support inpatient speech evaluations and therapy, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Maintain thorough documentation that aligns with state and federal policies and organizational standards.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements through continuing education and peer collaboration.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if uncredentialed by ASHA.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
