We're looking for a motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic school-based therapy team in beautiful Palm Springs, California . As a COTA in our district, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide direct and consultative therapy services to students in grades K-12 . This is an itinerant position , meaning you'll travel between school sites within the district based on student needs. You'll play a key role in helping students improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and access to the educational environment. What You'll Be Doing: Implement individualized therapy plans created by the supervising OT Provide direct services and support to students with a range of physical, sensory, and developmental challenges Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to promote student success in the classroom Monitor and document student progress and response to interventions Adjust interventions as needed based on feedback and student performance Travel to assigned school sites within the district (mileage reimbursement may be available) Qualifications: Current California license/certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Comfortable working in a team-oriented, student-focused environment Ability to work independently while managing a flexible, multi-site caseload Why Join Us? Compensation for this position ranges from $_40 to $45 per hour. We pay for direct and indirect services. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
