Respiratory Therapist Work 36 Hours get paid for 40 hours

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders. This role works closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory needs through diagnostic tests and clinical observations

• Administer prescribed respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, inhaled medications, and ventilator support

• Monitor patients' responses and adjust therapy as necessary

• Educate patients and families on respiratory health, treatment plans, and equipment use

• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with facility policies and regulations

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Adhere to infection control and safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

• Current [State] Respiratory Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure)

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential preferred

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team

Hourly Rate based on experience: $40.13-$44.42
