Description

  • Thoroughly assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics utilizing a blend of established assessments and keen observational skills.
  • Design customized therapy plans that target both immediate goals and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions centered around enhancing language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and families, to cultivate a unified treatment strategy.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring an uninterrupted continuum of care.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with all legal and organizational requirements.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you're not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring.
