Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in providing high-quality therapy treatments and procedures
- Support the development and execution of individualized treatment plans within state guidelines
- Document patient progress accurately and adjust treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques to promote recovery
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards
- Collaborate effectively with the rehabilitation team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Vermont Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy evaluation, reassessment, and treatment techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Outpatient or acute inpatient experience preferred
