In this role as a Rehabilitation Aide, you are under the direction of the direction of the Therapy clinical staff and manager, providing support to the department, clinical and clerical staff. This role includes preparing treatment areas for patient care, cleaning of equipment, basic exercise, equipment set up, faxing, maintaining department logs, ordering of equipment, and patient transporting. The therapy aide will be responsible for becoming proficient in Ingalls computer based equipment ordering software, monitoring of supply levels and anticipating department needs.
This position requires you to know, follow, and actively supports the philosophy, mission and vision of Ingalls Memorial Hospital. Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures and standard of care. Observes and adheres to all corporate compliance requirements and communicates issues as they arise to the appropriate parties as identified in the Corporate Compliance Plan
Required Qualifications
- One year of prior patient care experience preferred (i.e., Nurses Aide, Physical Therapy Technician, etc). and/or equivalent in customer service industry.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- General clerical skills, including light typing, and experience with Microsoft Office, and may be required to pass basic skills exam.
- Basic Life Support Certification.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
