Certified Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

Setup and operate various types of respiratory care equipment for residentdiagnosis and treatment

Performspatient assessment and develops a comprehensive care plan

Modifiestherapy plan to maximize efficacy of the therapy regimen

Reviewdata in the resident record including history, lab data, radiological studies,progress notes, respiratory and cardiovascular monitoring data

Document/recordrespiratory therapy data

Administerand modify various respiratory therapy procedures

Assessresidents overall status and progress

Educateresidents and/or family members on how to properly take medication and useequipment

Assistin respiratory therapy practices under the supervision and guidance of a RRT

Performany services and assignments within the scope of practice of a CRT
