Job Description
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive support and therapy services within a K-12 educational setting in Burnsville, NC. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students across K-12 grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Monitor and document student performance and adjust therapy techniques accordingly
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and school policies related to speech therapy services
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to goal setting
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children in school-based settings, K-12 preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse student populations and educational teams
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records
