Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in Ionia, MI

Providing occupational therapy services to students within a K-12 educational setting requires specialized skills and licensure. Job Type: Onsite Contract
Work Schedule: 32 hours per week
Caseload: K-12 students

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students in grades K-12, addressing developmental, sensory, and motor skills needs.
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor student progress and document outcomes in compliance with educational and clinical guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to support student goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely records and ensure adherence to licensure requirements and school policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current Michigan COTA license mandatory.
• Experience working with children in a school or pediatric therapy setting preferred.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the needs of diverse learners.
