A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 school district in the Hayward and Half Moon Bay, CA areas. This contract role spans the current school year, delivering essential speech and language services to pediatric students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Qualified candidates will hold a valid California Speech-Language Pathology license and possess Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Experience in providing healthcare-related speech therapy services, particularly in pediatric and school settings, is highly desirable. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to assess and treat speech and language disorders, and collaborate effectively with educators and families.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP License required
- CCC credential preferred
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy and school-based settings
- Knowledge of assessment methodologies and treatment plans for children with speech and language disorders
- Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students K-12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students in compliance with educational and healthcare guidelines
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student development
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute recommendations
