Massage Therapy Program - Clinical Instructor
Position Description
Lincoln Land Community College is seeking a qualified, part-time, non-benefited Clinical Instructor to teach in the Massage Therapy Program in Springfield at the LLCC-Medical District.
Instructors will be responsible for the following:
Provide quality instruction and classroom management.
Make recommendations to appropriate parties for updates/changes as needed to maintain currency of the class/program.
Maintain accurate records and submit records/data by due dates.
Develop syllabus, quizzes, exams, and other course materials.
Use online portal to access instructor resources.
Instructor's pay will range $25.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience and education. The anticipated schedule for this position includes 312 total instructional hours, held from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM on the following days:
Mondays and Thursdays from September 2026 through March 2027
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from April through June 2027
Note: The exact start/end dates will be discussed with the selected candidate.
The Paid Leave for All Workers Act allows part-time employees to earn 1 hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked. For more information on this benefit, please visit IL Department of Labor, PFLA Act.
Position Requirements
Instructors must meet the following requirements:
High School Diploma.
Must hold a valid Illinois Massage Therapy License.
Three years of working experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting.
Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
NCBTMB Certified preferred.
Available in the evenings and some weekends.
