ASAP - End of October 2025 (Potential to Extend) About the Role:

Riverside USD is currently seeking two full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to provide support during a leave coverage period. This is an itinerant position , requiring travel between multiple school sites across the district. You'll work directly with students ranging from mild to severe needs and assist in delivering therapy services, including make-up minutes from the prior school year. Supervision will be provided by an Occupational Therapist (OT) through the district or contracted services. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed OT Support implementation of IEP goals and therapy plans Maintain accurate documentation and service logs Travel between multiple school sites to deliver services as scheduled Collaborate with OTs, teachers, and school staff to support student success Support make-up therapy minutes from the 2024-2025 school year Requirements: Active California COTA license Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, itinerant schedule Experience with school-based OT preferred Comfortable working with a diverse caseload (mild to severe) Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Prior experience in public school settings Benefits: Competitive hourly compensation Mileage reimbursement (if applicable) Professional support and supervision from licensed OTs Opportunity for contract extension beyond October Work Environment:

This role requires travel between school sites. Reliable transportation is necessary. You'll be part of a dedicated support team helping students succeed academically and functionally within the school environment.

Compensation for this position ranges from $40 to $45 per hour. We pay for direct and indirect services. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
