Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - School-Based | We are seeking passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support speech-language pathologists in providing therapeutic and consultative services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders. Key Responsibilities: Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Support students with communication disorders through individual and group therapy sessions. Help gather data and document student progress toward Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions. Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student communication needs. Participate in team meetings and contribute information as directed by the supervising SLP. Maintain accurate records and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines. Educate staff and families on strategies to support communication development as directed by the SLP. Qualifications: Associate's degree or relevant certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or equivalent. Eligibility for SLPA licensure or certification in the state of practice, where applicable. Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Knowledge of IDEA and school-based special education procedures preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Experience working with children or in educational settings preferred but not required. Preferred Experience: Internship or practicum experience in school or clinical settings.
