Our new Immokalee clinic is amission-based facility serving the primarily Spanish-speaking migrant community, with a need for bilingual therapists.Services are provided regardless of a familys ability to pay, and the clinic shares space with the University of Florida dental program (offering free dental care), Able Academy (providing ABA services in local preschools and daycares), and Meals of Hope (operating a free community food pantry).

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is responsible for providing screening, evaluation, treatment, and education for those who demonstrate impairments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and/or swallowing. The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for adherence to and compliance with all American Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA) professional standards. The SLP is engaged in administration, consultation, education and research. The SLP is expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. The attributes, characteristics or behaviors required for success in this job include: critical thinking, communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills, responsibility, professionalism, use of constructive feedback, effective use of time and resources, stress management, and commitment to learning.

Requirements

Education:Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Experience:Certificate of Clinical Competency.

Certification:BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support).

License:Active Florida State Speech Language Pathologist Licensure.

Other: Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
