UPMC Somerset is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. Responsibilities:
Provide diagnostic and evaluative services for patients referred for speech-language pathology.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation including progress notes, evaluations, and treatment records.
Coordinate scheduling and treatment programs for referred clients.
Prepare diagnostic reports with recommendations tailored to each patient's needs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies (e.g., OSHA, TJC, CMS) and maintain all required
credentials (e.g., licensure, CPR, CEUs).
Participate in staff meetings, departmental committees, and in-service education programs.
Present educational programs and participate in community outreach as requested.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions.
Support organizational policies, including HIPAA and the Corporate Compliance Program.
Provide excellent customer service with a positive, caring attitude toward patients, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications:
MS, MEd or MA in Speech-Language Pathology.
Experience in both acute care and outpatient settings preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
Speech Pathologist
Speech Pathologists license required for state in which employee provides services.
Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competency) or meet the educational requirements for certification and be in the process of completing his or her Clinical Fellowship year.
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
