American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of NICU or pediatric critical care experience for a night shift opportunity in a children's acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

Position is in the NICU Respiratory Therapy unit of a children's acute care and teaching hospital
Responsibilities include care for neonatal and pediatric patients in NICU and pediatric critical care settings
Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required
No floating required outside of service line
No on-call required
EPIC charting system used; EPIC experience required
No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
Provide advanced respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in a high-acuity setting
Work as part of a pediatric critical care team in a teaching hospital environment
First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Fit testing is required; travelers must be clean-shaven for proper mask fit
Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract, with no time off approved during the first week of orientation
Scrub color is flexible; St. Louis Children's Hospital T-shirts or jackets may be worn
Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
Standard travelers may remain for up to 18 months before a 3-month break is required

Requirements

Active RRT credential required
BCLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU and/or PICU or pediatric critical care
Experience with Level 1 trauma or pediatric emergency department required
Valid state license required if applicable; Missouri requires a MO or compact license, Illinois allows pending IL license
EPIC charting experience required
References preferred from supervisors within the last 2 years
