About the Role:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Oklahoma City, OK, you will play a vital role in supporting licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. Your primary objective will be to implement treatment plans designed by physical therapists, helping patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain functional independence. You will work closely with patients to guide them through therapeutic exercises, monitor their progress, and adjust interventions as needed under the supervision of a physical therapist. This role requires compassionate patient interaction, meticulous documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact patients’ quality of life by facilitating their physical recovery and promoting long-term wellness.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant , you will:
Perform and document an initial exam , evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
Plan, prepare, or carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
Applies concepts of infection control/universal precautions in performing patient care
Assure continuity of quality patient care delivered with appropriate documentation
Provide effective communication to patient/family, team members and other health care professionals
Promote agency philosophy and administrative policies
Maintain and complete all documentation within company stated guidelines.
Requirements
Successful completion of accredited physical therapy program and state licensure exam.
Valid Physical Therapy license
Valid state driver’s license
1 year of home health experience preferred
AHA CPR certification
Valid Driver’s License
Valid Auto Insurance
HomeCare HomeBase experience preferred
