A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to provide specialized support within a K-12 educational setting in Hudsonville, MI. This onsite, contract position spans the full school year, offering approximately 30 hours per week, primarily serving students from 5th through 12th grade with diverse educational needs including ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), SXI (Severe Multiple Impairment), ECDD (Early Childhood Developmental Delay), and C (Communication disorders).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to students' individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress and engagement
- Monitor and document student outcomes to ensure effective treatment approaches
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to therapy program development
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan COTA license required
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within special education settings
- Ability to manage a caseload of diverse needs including ASD, SXI, ECDD, and communication challenges
