Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using evidence-based practices and evaluative methodologies.
  • Create individualized therapy plans aimed at meeting immediate and prolonged needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing abilities.
  • Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions concentrating on facets of language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing proficiency.
  • Engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated care approaches aimed at holistic support.
  • Educate patients and their families, assisting them in understanding strategies that promote continued improvement beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapeutic interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the patients journey.
  • Maintain precise documentation that adheres to all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by pursuing ongoing education and engaging with peers for shared growth.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if not holding ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of North Carolina.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
