Description
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages, utilizing standardized measures and observational assessments.
- Create tailored treatment plans that target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Engage patients in individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing proficiency.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers, to ensure integrated care.
- Provide education and resources for patients and families to bolster progress beyond clinical sessions.
- Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout their healing journey.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation adherent to state, federal, and organizational requirements.
- Commit to ongoing learning through continuing education and peer mentorship opportunities.
Education
- Earned Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to achieving ASHA certification, if applicable.
Certifications
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of joining.
