Description

- Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions that emphasize fluency, voice modulation, language comprehension, and swallowing safety.
- Engage in teamwork with other health professionals including physical and occupational therapists to ensure comprehensive, cohesive patient care.
- Provide valuable education to patients and their families to encourage ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions when necessary, ensuring a seamless transition through the continuum of care.
- Maintain up-to-date, precise records in compliance with both state and federal regulations.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in the field by participating in ongoing education and collaborating with peers.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if the candidate is not ASHA-certified yet.
Certifications
- Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needs to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
