Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients that span pediatric, adult, and senior demographics, utilizing validated assessments and observational insights.
  • Create customized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functionalities.
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to foster a unified approach to patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment plan.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation as per state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and methodologies in the field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised clinical fellowship year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
