Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations on individuals of all ages, utilizing both standard assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions that prioritize language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to cultivate integrated care strategies.
• Equip patients and their families with education and resources to enhance progress outside of appointments.
• Participate in periodic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring holistic care continuity throughout the patient journey.
• Maintain timely and precise documentation that complies with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
