Essential Functions Include But Are Not Limited To: Perform routine cleaning of the school grounds during regular school hours and after athletic events Plow and snow shovel all parking areas and sidewalks as needed Maintain all landscape of school grounds including trimming of bushes and mowing and fertilizing fields and lawns Operate, maintain and repair all grounds equipment and machinery Line, prepare and maintain all athletic fields and school activities for competitions Ensure the proper application, storage and use of all grounds related chemicals Assist with emergency building situations and school closures Maintains proper inventory of all grounds supplies Provides training to grounds staff as necessary Assigns tasks to grounds staff and provides completion follow-up Schedules maintenance and safety inspections of all school vehicles Obtains pricing for larger projects and supply orders Works with outside vendors Ability to utilize a work order system Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications and Experience Minimum one year grounds or applicable work experience High School Diploma or equivalent Physical Demands Ability to lift a minimum of one hundred (100) pounds, work at various heights and in confined areas Must be able to operate motorized lawn equipment Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, bend and kneel for extended periods of time.
