Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available in Bridgeport, CT, supporting students from preschool through 8th grade in an elementary school setting. This itinerant role offers a full school year contract, requiring a 35-hour work week and providing hands-on experience in a dynamic educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to students ranging from preschool to 8th grade. Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational and clinical staff. Provide consultative support to teachers and parents to enhance student participation and success. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy goals. Travel between school sites as part of an itinerant service delivery model. Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and intervention strategies. Qualifications: Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting. Ability to manage caseloads and maintain detailed records. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with students, families, and school personnel. Flexibility and reliability to fulfill itinerant assignments across multiple locations.
