Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time, full school year contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary students in a school setting in Galveston, TX. This role offers a consistent 37.5-hour schedule with a manageable elementary caseload and the chance to utilize your expertise in pediatrics and educational speech therapy. Ideal candidates will hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or be completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if an SLP, or have relevant SLPA credentials. Experience working in school-based or healthcare environments, particularly with pediatric populations, is highly valued. Strong communication skills, collaboration with educators, and an understanding of child development will contribute to success in this role. Key qualifications and experience: SLP with CCC or CFY status, or SLPA licensure for school or healthcare settings Pediatric speech-language therapy experience, especially in elementary schools Ability to manage an elementary caseload independently Familiarity with school policies and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes Effective teamwork and communication with educational staff and families Responsibilities include: Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for elementary students Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff Maintaining accurate and timely documentation Located in Galveston, TX, this contract position offers the opportunity for a Director to interview interested candidates promptly.
