Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available at an elementary school setting in Wilkes Barre, PA. This onsite contract position spans the academic school year and offers an excellent opportunity to support diverse student populations in their communication and developmental growth. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver speech-language therapy tailored to students' needs, focusing on areas such as assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and delays in receptive and expressive language development. Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing to accurately assess student needs. Prepare clear, comprehensive reports following student assessments and observations. Work confidently with students aged 2 to 22 years old, including those with moderate to severe disabilities. Develop, maintain, and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives. Collaborate effectively with parents and interdisciplinary teams to monitor progress and identify support strategies. Qualifications: Valid Pennsylvania state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Pennsylvania teaching certificate. Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in educational settings. Strong communication skills to liaise with students, families, and school staff.
