Birch Agency, a nationally recognized company in educational services, is looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team in Shandon, CA (greater Paso Robles area)! We have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special needs, and we are hiring like-minded professionals to be part of our team.
Job Details:
6-8 hrs/day (Monday-Friday)
8:10am-3:30pm M/T/TH/F, 8:10am-1:30pm W
Caseload: approximately 40-50
On site only (Shandon, CA)
Start: August 25th (170 days)
Pay starting at $50/hr - dependent on experience
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech and Communication from an accredited institution
Valid CA state license for Speech Language Pathology Assistant
Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs
Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant with Birch Agency, you can expect to assist with:
Evaluate students referred with speech/language disorders to determine degree and severity
Provide Speech Therapy to students with a wide variety of disabilities
Complete appropriate paperwork following state guidelines
Attend IEP Meetings
Confer with parents and develop home programs when necessary
Consult with Teachers
Work as a part of Special Ed team
Provide thorough and accurate documentation in a timely fashion
