Travel Respiratory Therapist

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and MN licensure (or eligibility) for a night shift role in a Level III trauma setting.

• Position is based in an acute care hospital setting with a Level III trauma designation
• Patients include all ages and all inpatient departments including ED, ICU, Med-Surg, Pediatrics, OB, and Family Care
• Duties include ventilator management, nebulizer treatments, EKGs, BiPAP/CPAP, and bedside spirometry
• Equipment used includes Drager ventilators, Respironics BiPAP/CPAP, Smart Vest, Micronebs, Mortara EKG carts, Pyxis medication system, and Epic EMR
• 8 and 12-hour shifts with rotating days, nights, weekends, and holiday coverage required
• Floating to multiple departments within the hospital is required
• Unit consists of 117 beds
• Gray scrubs are required for this position
• Role includes providing respiratory care throughout all inpatient departments
• Basic introduction and orientation provided on hospital specifics, equipment, layouts, and computer systems
• All clinicians must badge in and out daily
• Previous employment at any Sanford Health location must be disclosed, with at least 6 months since end of last position
• Medical and vaccination requirements must be met per hospital policy
• Local candidates within 80 miles may be considered with adjusted compensation

• Valid MN Respiratory Therapist license or willingness to obtain upon offer; license required if applicable
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS and NRP certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care respiratory therapy experience
• Competency in care and treatment of patients of all ages
• Effective communication and prioritization skills
• Experience with Epic EMR and specified equipment preferred
