General Expectations
- Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
- Comply with all current government regulations and professional standards respecting patient care.
- Develop/maintain technical knowledge of the respiratory products/services provided by ProTech and be able to provide information of same to others upon request.
Duties and responsibilities
- Educate patients in proper use and care of respiratory equipment, primarily PAP equipment in both the office and home settings. PAP education/instruction may also be performed as either Virtual (TeleHealth) In-Home or Virtual In-office visits.
- Utilize SleepGlad software for mask fittings according to ProTech policies and procedures.
- Inform the physicians and appropriate others of the changes in the patient's condition/status through reports and email, fax and telephone communications.
- Assist in resolving patient therapy and equipment problems.
- Perform troubleshooting and required maintenance checks on PAP related equipment, bag and tag and enter into Brightree according to ProTech policy.
- Document/complete timely and accurately all therapy and patient interactions into Brightree along with appropriate paperwork according to ProTech policy.
- Assist compliance team with achieving ProTech patient compliance goals.
- Maintain PAP pick up rates in accordance with ProTech goals.
- Deliver patient care in a professional and courteous manner meeting the customer services standards according to ProTech policy.
- Provide patient equipment and supplies according to the physicians' prescription while achieving ProTech goals and standards for same equipment and supplies
- Assist with implementation of quality improvement program to meet company and accreditation standards.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications include:
- Associates Degree required
- Experience in HME or Home Health industry preferred or equivalent experience in respiratory therapy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must carry personal liability car insurance with a minimum limit of $100,000.
- Knowledge of Respiratory Therapy and related HME equipment.
- CRTT, RRT, LPN or RN
- Must be willing to commute (at your expense) to other branch locations within a 60-mile radius from our Nashville office.
- Courteous Customer Service (internally and externally)
- Must love helping People (both internally and externally)
- High level of attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities and close the loop when interrupted
- Must be able to pass background requirements and drug screenings
- Must have valid driver's license with proof of clean driving record
Physical requirements
- Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend over, kneel, sit or stand for extended periods of times as needed to meet customer's needs
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee is required to sit and stand.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position requires the ability to drive an automobile
- Must be 21 years of age to comply with company auto insurance regulations.
